A customer wanted to update the exterior of the addition they put on their house as well as increase the size of an existing deck. After discussing the options, manufactured stone was chosen for the exterior. The owner found a picture she liked that showed a blend of stone and brick to use as inspiration for the direction of the project. After sketching to design columns that would fit proportionately with the deck addition and house, a 1" extruded insulation over the entire addition was added and the seams were taped to fix the cold air the owner could feel seeping through the walls. As the veneer work started, Crane Masonry worked closely with the owners to get the brick swatches just right.   

The project was a success; the stone looks like it was pulled right out of the surrounding woods and put on the house, and the brick accents complement the existing brick on the house. The client was happy with the new look, and the energy efficiency upgrade noting that "It’s so quiet in there now".
