Small residential projects like this are common for Crane Masonry. For this project, pressure washing was done first to remove dirt and biological growth. Next, the decayed joints were grinded out to the proper depth in preparation for their repair. Custom mixed mortar designed for compatibility and color was installed. Finally the new joints were washed with detergent to "weather" their appearance and match the surrounding work. After the stairs dried they were sealed to protect them from the weather and de-icing salts.
